• You can set Cetec’s handling of subassemblies for times when an order is created for their top level assembly.
  • Access a multi-level BOM, then click into a sub on the BOM overview screen.
  • On the subs part record, click “MAINT+” on the left side menu, then click “Build Defaults.”
  • Here you can set the default suborder for this part to be applied across the system.
  • If you select “Skip Build,” when an order is created for the top-level assembly, no order will be created for the sub unless manually entered.
  • If you select “With Top,” when an order is created for the top-level assembly, Cetec will combine it with an order for this sub to create one unified workorder.
  • If you select “Always Build,” Cetec will default to create a separate but related suborder for this sub anytime an order for the top-level assembly is created.
  • If you create an order for a multi-level BOM, on the “commit order screen” you will have the opportunity to manually adjust the build defaults you set for the subs.
