- First, you will need to set up your schedule and capacity parameters to define your work hours.
- Navigate to Config Settings and search “work_start”.
- In the value box next to “work_start_hour”, set what hour work will start, then click “set.”
- You can also set a work start hour for your main warehouse next to the config “work_start_hour - MN”.
- Next, you will need to set up your work end hour, by searching “work_end_hour”.
- You can set your global work end time or work end time for your main warehouse here.
- Next, set up your work locations by going to Admin > Maintenance > Data Maintenance > Search Ordline Status.
- This list includes internal work locations or the location of an outside service provider where you send material.
- Build Order is used when adding “All Default Locations” to a BOM’s build path. Entries with “0” in Build Order are ignored.
- You can set picking locations, primary staging locations, or outsourcing locations.
- To add a location click the “Add Record” button and fill in your work location information.
- You also can add information such as Labor Rate, GL account debits/credits, capacity minutes per day, etc.
- If you had a workstation that had multiple machines that should run simultaneously, you can click “Allow Parallel Work.”
- You can exercise even more control over the capacity at each location by visiting the Capacity Calendar under Production > Scheduling > Set Capacity.
- If you wanted to set detailed parameters around capacity for April 1, you’d hit the “Set Capacity” button.
- This opens up a pop-up window where you can set capacity for minutes and numbers of users/machines per work location.
- Clicking the “Batch Update” will align all values and users with the set work location you entered the data into.
- If you want to apply settings to a range of dates, click “Batch Set Capacity.”
