Heres how to drag and drop schedule segments on a production planning Gantt chart for your manufacturing job schedule and customize your schedule for your shop!

• Navigate to Production> Scheduling> Planning Gantt Chart.
• You can set up the schedule to be in the order of your operations and customize it. You may have a different operations than what is shown in the video.
• Go into a specific order to change the schedule. Youre able to see if you can start work earlier in the day. Click into the work order view on the left hand menu.
• Click into the instruction tab on the work order screen to see how long your operations are supposed to take. It will show you a list with the times.
• Then go to the schedule tab to reschedule the order. Look at the work start date on that screen and click the arrow next to it to sort your operations from start to finish.
• If you have a setup time for your second operation, you can move your second operation to coincide with your first operation so the setup time can be done during the first operation. This will make the job more efficient and maximize on time spent.
• You can drag and drop the scheduled segments on that same screen to move them to the time you want. You will want to move the rest of your operations to start after your second operation is finished, as now it will finish earlier than before.
• You can also change the time at the bottom of that schedule screen if you would rather not drag and drop. If you set a new time, it will move on the schedule for you after you click set.
• Navigate back to your work order screen. You can select the box next to the location move, and that will move all the operations up if a user finishes work more quickly than the schedule showed.
• Navigate to Production> Scheduling> Planning Gantt Chart to see all of your changes made to the schedule.
• You can also move the scheduled segments straight from the Gantt chart to reformat your schedule.
• Please note: If you want to move multiple scheduled segments at once, see minute 7:43. You can CTRL click each segment; each schedule segment will highlight in black. When you have a group of highlighted segments, you can click and drag and move them all at once.
